Historical Incident Of Panch Yaaran

Historical Incident of Panch Yaran *~*~*~*~*~*~*~* ~*~*~*~*~*~ Once it happened that Shaykhulalam shaykh Noorud din Noorani (rehmatullaheal aih) while enjoying sunny atmosphere of the plain meadowswas in a thinking mood. The same place is yet to be known as "Panch Yaran" Shaykh noorud din noorani (rehmatullaheal aih) was just perspiring in hot sun that there came all of a sudden five girls having huge bundles of wood on their heads . All of them stood stayed to keep down their bundles of wood over the longest sticks in order to make ashadowy position for creating rest for the saint without disturbance. The same girls engaged theirselves to collect the particular kind of grass from the plain field . When the majestic saint (rehmatullaheal aih) awakened he looked spiritually upon these bundles of sticks of wood and turned them to become Five Deodar Trees having bushy branches. Baba kamal , one of the writers of reshi Namas has mentioned that upto 1216 Hijri these trees of deodar were in a good position for the observation of all. One of the girlsseemed to be more acute, clever and attentive. She realized the sage sheikh noorud din noorani (rehmatullaheal ih) . She posed many questions to Sheikh Noorud din Noorani (rehmatullaheal ih) in a scholarly manner. The Nund reshi (rehmatullaheal ih) retorted all of them one by one. Then all of the five girls joined the Rishi order ♥♥ SUBHAANALLAH ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥

incident of 802 hijri

Incident of 802 hijri...... ♥ All about it was 802 hijri, that Zia khatoon (alaiherahma), kind of NUND RESHI (REHMATULLAHEAL AIH) got her two children to the cave, so that the saint would be motivated to evoke his parental affection in order to get him to his home Kaimov, so much so that he would be involved in wordly concerns. ♥ The Two Children Were Being Slept On Floor.... ♥ Holy shaykh (REHMATULLAHEAL AIH) Had good chatting with his innocent children. He acted upon their wish and will to be fullfilled in the same cave. ♥ Prayers towards God.♥ With deep urgency just like saint Ibrahim Bin Adham(rehmatullaheal aih) Shaykhulalam(re hmatullahealaih ) asked Master of the Universe to decide his position viz a viz his children and his absolute devotion towards his missionary work, as he couldn't accomplish both the duties at one and the same time .♥ Both OF children Passed Away>> It is said , during the morning time both of the children had passedway. The news spread all around just like the wild fire. People in herds came along the cave. ♥ The cave and Burial. By means of incident the whole position of the cavewas exposed as it was a special type of headquarter.Sain shaykhulalam (rehmatullaheal aih) himself tookboth of his posteriors towards the ancestral graveyard of kaimov, wshed them away at Mach Nag (spring of honey) offered their prayers and buried them separately near his father , Baba Salaruddin(qada sallahusira) in the hinterlands of the area. Conspiracy And Allegation Of the Enemies.. This was the crucial time and the biggest excuse to file a case againist the mystic father of two children in the police station of Anantnag by his two brother-in-law as againist their brother-in-law. The case was of double-murder. By any means it came in the notice of a Minister of a sultan sikander. >>> First Warrant Of Arrest > It was the order of court law that a ferocious type of inspector namely Tazi Bhat rushed towards the Sheikh (rehmatullahe alaih) to get him arrested from the cave towards jail. Coming Up Of Tazi Bhat Towards The Cave>> Tazi bhat , the spy lulled the Saint at the cave Kaimov to get out. Saint came out from the cave explain his position with kindness and gently. But the inspector was just to slap over him. Meanwhile two Serpents appeared to catch the spy by his moustaches towards his back position. Tazi bhat fell down to implore before the SAINT to forgive him... After The Pitiable Condition Of Tazi Bhat>> Position of Tazi Bhat being totally different, his all other group members returned shamefully. This news too, spread like wild fire among the people around there. ♥ Tazi Bhat Became the Disciple>> Saint Norud din Noorani(Qaddasa llahu sira) exempted the follies of Tazi Bhat and the two serpents were removed from his body. Tazi Bhat repented pitiably. Then asked the saint to admit him as his disciple. ♥ Tazi Bhat Became Tajuddin>> Tazi Bhat just then converted himself to be Reshi by changing his dress of governance. He was rechristened as Baba Tajuddin.

First miracle- TO create GOld Out of Pebbles.

Once the mother of Nund (rehmatullahealaih) took him to the potter to learn his skill and asked to teach him his trade. She left her son there, just after returning her home . Here, then Nooruddin (rehmatullahealaih) got all the pieces of broken pottery in the potter's basket coveref in full to be produced before his mother. He told her that if you want gold and silver from his (son's) deeds then it is all before you in order to become a wealthy woman. It was really the same stuff of pottery changed into gold and silver. The witty mother got the sense of his spiritual power. She denied all to possess and accepted the virtuous style of her son's inborn nature. Nooruddin (rehmatullahealaih) returned the original material to the master potter.

short biograPhy of THE ALAMDAAR

Shaikh Nur-ud-din (RA) was born in a village called Qaimoh (old name Katimusha)[District ' KULGAM' ],( which is 60 km South east of Srinagar , in 779 A.H. = 1377 A.C, on the day of the Eid al-Adha . His father's name was Shaikh Salar-ud-dinhis mother Sadra, was called Sadra Moji or Sadra Deddi. In Kashmir, Moji means 'mother' and Deddi denotes 'elderly.' Both the parents were well known for their piety. It was a period when Kashmir was ruled by the sultans Qutub-ud-Din , Sikandar , Ali Shah , and Zain-ul-Abidin .His parents became Muslims through the great Islamic saint Hazrat Mir Syed Simnania(R.A) ,whose shrine is located in Kulgam town. When Nur-ud-din (RA) grew up, his stepbrothers began to trouble him. They were rogues, while he was saintly. Once or twice he accompanied them to find work but felt that he could not be happy with them. He was then apprenticed to a couple of traders, one after the other. There, too, he felt disgusted with the ways of the world, and, deciding upon renunciation, retired to caves for meditation at the age of thirty. It is said that he lived for twelveyears in the wilderness. Hence, perhaps, kaimuh is given the derivation of kai-wan (or ban, a forest) inrustic belief. The actual cave of contemplation is shown in kaimuh and is about 10 feet deep. In his last days, the saint sustained life on one cup of milkdaily. Finally, he reduced himself to water alone, and died at the age of 63, in the reign of sultan Zain-ul-Abidin, in 842 A. H. = 1438 A.C. Shams-ul-Arifin or 'the sun of the pious' is the chronogram which gives the date of his death. The Sultan accompanied his bier to the grave. The burial prayers were led by a great divine or 'Alim of the age, Makhdum Baba Usman Uchchap Ganai. The tomb of Shaikh Nur-ud-din at Charari Sharief , a small town perched on a dry bare hill, 20 miles south west of Srinagar, is visited by thousands of people to the present day. During his lifetime, he witnessed a gradual cultural and religious transformation of the people of the valley, from Hinduism to Islam . Various historical events helped to shape his mind in such a manner that he produced some works of philosophy, in his own manner of verses and poetry. Sheikh ul-Alam was deeply affected by such eventsand this is apparent in a majority of his verses. The biggest event that occurred in the Sheikh's childhood was the coming of another Muslim preacher, Amir Kabir Mir Syed Hamadani , to Kashmir. Shah Hamadan, as he was popularly called, came to Kashmir in September 1372 CE, 1379CE and the third time in the year 1383 CE. Shaikh Nur-ud-din- appears to have married Zai Ded from Dadasara, Tral , Pulwama( her father Akber-u-Din(RA) and two brothers "Kamal-u-din"(RA) and "Jamal-u-din"RA) are buried at Dadasara Tral , people of the area visited their shrine for"Dua" to fulfil their needs ) and had two sons and one daughter. On the death of the children, Zai Ded also renounced the world, and became a hermit . She was buried at Kaimuh on her death. The simplicity and purity of Shaikh Nur-ud-din's lifehave deeply impressed the Kashmiri who entertains the highest veneration for the saint. In fact, the Afghan governor,Ata Muhammad Khan, gave, as it were, expression to public sentiment when coins were struck by him in the name of Shaikh Nur-ud-din in 1223-25 A.H. (1808-10 CE). No other saint perhaps in human history has ever had coins struck in his honour. The saint's attack on hypocrisy is interesting says he: "By bowing down, thou shalt not become a Rishi; the pounder in the rice- mill did not ever raise up its head." "By entering a cave, God cannot be attained: the mongoose and the rat seldom come out of their holes". "By bathing, the mind will not be cleansed: The fishand the otter never ascend the bank." "If God was just pleased by fasting, the indigent rarely cook food in pots." Once, on his way to a garden, accompanied by a disciple, he stopped and would not move. On his disciple requesting him to proceed, he made the following reply: "Every minute that I spend there, will be deducted from my stay in heaven". On another occasion, when invited to a feast, Nur-ud-din went in ragged dress, earlier than the appointedtime. The servants, not recognizing him, would not permit him to enter, and he had to go back to take his food at home. When all had sat for the sumptuous dinner, the Shaikh was specially sent for. He came, this time in a flowing chugha (cloak) and was given the seat of honour. But the Shaikh instead of partaking of the food stretched forth his sleeves and put them on to the plates. The people were astonished at the sight and asked him the reason. He replied: "The feast was not really for Nur-ud-Din but for the long sleeves!"

ALAMDAARE KASHMIR SHEIKH NOORUD DIN REHMATULLAHE ALAIH......

A blessing of God unto the people of Kashmir, Nundreshi(Rehma tullAhealaih) was a saint of Reshi order. He is alsoknown as Taj-ul-Awliyai Kashmir (Crown of the Saints of Kashmir), Alamdar-I-Kashm ir(Flag bearer of the people of Kashmir), Commonly known as “Alamdaar-e-Kas hmir (flag bearer of Kashmir) and Sheikh-ul-Alam, ” the revered saint is greatly respected by both Hindu andMuslim communities. He, also has to his credit for laying the foundation of an indigenous Sufi order inthe fifteenth century---Reshi order (Reshi isa person who immerses himself into the Divine self). Speaking about the saint’s life, Nund Reshi was bornin Qaimoh (Kulgam) on Eid-ul-Adha. His parents---Sheik h Salar-ud-Din and Sadra were pious, honest and sincere human beings and were well known because of their goodness. Fondly, Sadra was also referred as Sadra Mouj (Mouj meansmother) or Sadra Dedd (Dedd means elderly). During the reign of Qutub-ud-Din, Sikandar, Ali Shah, and Zain-ul-Abideen , Muslims were gaining power and overcoming Shaivaism---whi ch was the leading religion of Kashmir then. Sheikh-ul-Alam’ s parents were very much influenced by a great and prominent Sufi saint---Hazrat Mir Syed Simnania (R.A). Inspired by his piety, it was through the handsof Simnania (R.A), that Sheikh-ul-Alam’ s parents embraced Islam. Sheikh-ul-Alam (RA) was not a learned or qualifiedperson , but, still a great philosopher and a poet, having eternal knowledge about the existence of life. Whatever he acquired was the outcome of his meditation, good deeds, honesty and love for God. He wrote such powerful mystic poetry that he became the patron of saints and protector and embodiment of Kashmiri culture. He is the source ofall knowledge---thi s world or hereafter. The form of Sheikh-ul-Alam poetry is called SHRUK.Sheikh-ul -Alam’s shruks are popular throughout Kashmir and have been spread and circulated orally by generations of Kashmiris. Khudai Tchu Kunuie Naaw Tches Latcha Zikr-i-rus Akh kacha mow Wumber Vendin Aakuie Patcha Riziq rus akh matcha mow God is one with millions of names Nothing exists without the Remembrance of Him Living life with the thought that it will last for 15 days Creator of everything gives food to everyone An ancient story of the two legendary poets is famous in every corner here. After the birth, Nunda Reshi did not suck milk for the first three days. All efforts by parents and neighbors to feed the new-born baby went in vain. Disturbed and perturbed by the infant’s refusal to suck even a fewdrops of milk, the parents of the great saint were ina for a huge relief when the towering Kashmiri Sufipoetess---L al Ded entered the room. Much to the delight of the parents, the great poetess, while kissing the baby Alamdar, took him into her lap andfed him milk through the following verses: Zeneh Yel Neh Mandchookh Tcheneh Kiyazi Tchukh Mandchaan If you were not shy at your birth Why are you reluctant of feeding at your mother's breasts? Sheikh-ul-Alam left behind all those things-----whic h were bonded to material world. He detachedall the connections which were linked to this world. Hebusied himself thoroughly in the remembrance of God and dedicated all his time in meditation andprayers in order to overcome and conquer the appetite of self, to strengthen the connection between him and God and to strengthen his spiritual power. Yeti Ti May Tchie Tati Ti May Tchie May Tchie Kartam Gulzaar Sarie Travith Rutmakh May Tchie May Tchie Hawtam Deedaar Here and hereafter, you are all for me You bless me blossoms For you I left my dearest Bestow me your presence Kunerai Bozakh Kuneh No Rozakh Am Kunran Kota Dut Jalaaw Aqal Ti Fikr Tor Kot Sozakh Kaem Maleh Cheith Huk Suh Deryaaw When you realize the oneness of God, you will be nowhere Passion of Oneness is unendurable Depth of Deity is beyond mind and imagination None could drink this divine ocean Sheikh Noor-ud-Din Noorani RA used to remain all alone where none could interfere between the remembrance of deity and him; he continuously practiced meditation in different caves for so many years. Later he traveled to Kashmir remained in Charai Shareef for a pretty long time where he met Syed Mir Mohammad Hamdani RA. Sheikh-ul-Alam was very much influenced by Syed Mir MohammadHamdani after having discussion with him and became the disciple of Syed Mir Mohammad Hamdani RA, who bestowed him the name “Alamdaar-i-Kas hmir. Once Sheikh-ul-Alam was invited to a feast, to accept an invitation is a part Sunnah so he could not deny and went to the host’s house wearing tornoutfit. Gate keeper not recognizing him and did not permit him to enter the house. Sheikh-ul-Alam wentback to his home and dressed up new clothes. When all had sat for the luxurious feast, Sheikh-ul-Alam entered wearing a beautiful cloak and was given the place of respect. When everyone started to take food Sheikh-ul-Alam stretched out his sleeves and put them onto the plates full of food, people surrounded were surprised and asked him the reason, Sheikh-ul-Alam replied: Kheyev Badev Narew Kheyev Eat you rich clothes eat "The feast was not for poor like me, it is for the wealthy who dress in rich clothes and long sleeves Sheikh Noor-ud-Din Noorani RA is a great poet andprominent philosopher of Kashmir, he was quiteaware about the real reality of this universe, he could easily identify the mentality of a person at thevery first sight. His poetry is very influential, prestigious and esteemed at every angel; every line of his poetry has its own charm and message. His collection and combination of words is nonpareil. He used his poetry as tool to spread the true knowledge of Islam beyond the borders of limitation. His verses are preserved in the Nur-Namawritten by Baba Naseeb-ud-Din Ghazi (RA) in Persian. Besides Tasawuff Sheikh Noor-ud-Din Noorani RA composed poetry on different topics like the peopleof his time, about the time he lived, about towns and villages more importantly he composed verses started from Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) to himself in consecutive order which he named as Reshi Order. His mystic Reshi order has imbibed all the high-quality and noble principals of faith. Awal Reshi, Ahmad (PBUH) Reshi Doyim Hazrat Owais (RA) Aow Treyim Reshi Zulka Reshi Churim Reshi Miraan Aow Panchim Reshi Ruma Reshi Sheyim Hazrat Pulass Aow Satmiss Kerhum Dish na Heshi Bokuss Reshi Ti Meh Kiya Naav(“The first Rishi was the prophet Muhammad. The second in order was Hazrat Uways, The third Rishi was Zulka Rishi, The fourth in order was Hazrat Miran, And the fifth Rishi was Rum Rishi The sixth in order was Hazrat Pilas, The seventh (me) is miscalled a Rishi, Do I deserve to be called a Rishi? And if so what is my name?”) Sheikh-ul-Alam about his disciple Baba Zaindin Wali: Zaneh Miyoon Chu Amrit Gooru Taim Aaderi Samsaar Kieo Gaw Gurass Tchhatha Tchhoroei Tithuei Meh War Dito Divoo Sheikh-ul-Alam’ s shruk is regarded as sacred as the Noble Quran in Kashmiri language similar to Mawlana Rumi’s masnavi as the Noble Quran in Persian. He has poured his soul into his verses, his poetry is very tough to understand even for a Kashmiri but for the Sufi’s who are attached with the chains of Tasawuff (Sufism) his Kalaam feeds their souls and bestows them divine blessings. His poetry has been the expression of his spiritual, saintly and devout journey and observations. He composed poetry with such great depth meaning that it became the message of his faith, love and affection, he wrote the message of oneness, harmony and respect for all doctrines and beliefs. His matchless verses are full of love, such complete poetry is very hard to find and he had the completegrip on his art of writing.
